THE HOTEL EMPORDÀ, completely refurbished in 2009, is located in quiet location on the northern approaches to the town of Figueres, just a few minutes drive from the French frontier. It is the ideal place both for stays on the Costa Brava and as a stop-off point on longer journeys. Rooms and group facilities have all modern conveniences. THE RESTAURANT. Jaume Subirós, the present chef and owner, has continued in the footsteps of Josep Mercader, the legendary figure of Catalan gastronomy who in 1961 founded our establishment under the name of 'Motel Empordà', the name by which it is still known and recognized by Catalan gourmets today.
